Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting an interim Management Accountant for a 6-month contract based in Brighton, East Sussex. The role reports to the Group Financial Controller and leads monthly consolidated management reporting for UK and overseas operations.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified, finalist, or PQ level accountant with hands-on management accounting experience, exceptional attention to detail and superb communication skills. Hybrid role, with 3 days in Brighton offices.

Qualifications

• Qualified, or finalist or PQ level accountant with strong hands-on management accounting experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• First-class communication skills and ability to report to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reports.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and robust financial controls.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Support variance analysis and cost control initiatives including reconciliation of product costs.
• Ensure accurate accruals and prepayments are maintained.
• Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Improve the month end process and management reporting information.
