Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance is working with an SME manufacturing group on the outskirts of Littlehampton to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager on an initial contract basis. You will report to the Finance Director and drive IFRS reporting, consolidation and Board packs.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, advanced Excel and strong IFRS expertise, with office-based work 5 days per week and flexibility for short notice. Availability on short notice is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with IFRS experience.
• Experience with consolidation and IFRS reporting and audit liaison.
• Excellent Excel skills and associated financial modelling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts under IFRS, including eliminations and journal postings.
• Assist in monthly Board reporting pack with analysis and commentary.
• Publish the Group's interim and annual IFRS financial statements and ensure disclosure compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit deliverables.
• Prepare covenant and cash flow reporting for financing arrangements.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting processes and covenant models.
• Maintain the share-based payment accounting model and related data.

Grafton Banks Finance are working with an SME Manufacturing company with offices on the outskirts of Littlehampton to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager on an initial contract basis. Reporting into the finance Director and working within a friendly team you will be responsible for ensuring the business meets all the financial reporting deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts under IFRS, including consolidation adjustments, eliminations, IFRS16 and other journal postings
• Contribute to the preparation of the monthly Board reporting pack, providing supporting analysis and commentary.
• Prepare the Group's interim and annual financial statements under IFRS, ensuring compliance with applicable reporting and disclosure requirements.
• Act as key contact for external auditors, coordinating audit deliverables and preparing supporting schedules and technical documentation.
• Prepare quarterly and annual covenant compliance reporting and Group cash flow statements to support external financing arrangements.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting processes, including a covenant compliance model, year-end supplemental reporting templates.
• Maintain and update the Group's share-based payment accounting model and supporting database.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the senior management team.
• Drive financial control across the business by strengthening processes, controls and governance.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with core experience of Financial Reporting and Management. Advanced Excel skills are essential alongside being an expert in IFRS. Due to the initial contract nature of this job opportunity you will need to be available at short notice. This role is working in office 5 days a week with some flexibilities.
