Job summary

Accountable Recruitment are partnering with a growing private equity-backed organisation on the Wirral to recruit a Management Accountant. This role reports to the Financial Controller and supports the delivery of accurate financial reporting and key insights for decision-making.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, board reporting, payroll journals, and assist with budgeting and audit activities.

Qualifications

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA studier, qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Previous management accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and systems skills.
• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Cashflow forecasting and VAT returns.
• Board and stakeholder reporting.
• Payroll journals and expense reconciliations.
• Audit support, budgeting and forecasting activities.
