Job summary

Rexel UK is seeking a driven Management Accountant to deliver accurate financial results and insightful analysis for UK and regional operations. The role is hybrid (2–3 days in Eagle Court, Sheldon) and requires CIMA/ACCA qualifications with strong Excel and communication skills.

You will handle month-end reporting, branch financial results, balance sheet reconciliations, and team management, collaborating with Finance Business Partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CIMA or ACCA qualified
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and variance analysis
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional communication skills to explain financial results

Responsibilities

• Month-End Reporting: report operating expenditure/margin with accruals and prepayments; analyse expenditure vs budget.
• Branch Financial Results: report regional results; allocate costs across branch cost centres; deliver variance analysis.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: complete monthly reconciliations with accruals/prepayments; investigate discrepancies.
• Team Management: manage performance, development, and succession planning of direct reports.
