Job summary

Ongo Recruitment Limited is seeking a part-qualified or experienced finance professional to join the commercial finance team. You will work alongside the Commercial Accountant to prepare monthly management accounts for three linked entities, ensuring timely reporting, accurate journals, and strong balance sheet controls.

You will support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processes while maintaining compliance with finance policies and collaborating with operations and project teams.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of key accounting principles
• Ability to prepare journals and manage accruals
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for three entities within ten working days of month end
• Produce a flash set of results within five working days of month end
• Enter journals including payroll costs, accruals, prepayments and stock
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank statements and investigate discrepancies
• Provide project reporting showing results by contract and period
• Assist in monthly reforecasts and annual budgeting cycle
• Support HMRC payments and intra-group transactions
• Maintain compliance with finance policies and participate in year end packs
• Deal with external auditors as required
