Job summary

Portus Supported Housing is recruiting a Management Accountant to oversee direct costs across schemes, produce monthly management accounts, and contribute to budgeting and cash flow reporting.

Based in Swinton with hybrid working, the role offers a salary of £43,000-£45,000 plus benefits, pension, and an employee discount scheme, plus opportunities to improve processes within the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyse direct costs by scheme for inclusion in Service Charge Accounts.
• Complete regular bank and treasury reconciliations and support effective cash management.
• Work with the Customer Team to reconcile void recharges and analyse performance against budget.
• Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and detailed cash flow reporting.
• Liaise with budget holders and other departments to resolve queries and provide financial insight.
• Assist with statutory accounts, year-end audit and rent ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate banking discrepancies and unidentified transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records, processes and reporting.
• Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc duties as required.

We are looking to recruit to the role of Management Accountant looking after direct costs.
