Job summary

Portus Supported Housing is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant for the Swinton Hybrid team. You will support direct costs, cash management and month-end reporting, helping to embed positive change across the finance function.

This role involves budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and liaising with budget holders to provide insightful financial commentary and ensure accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyse direct costs by scheme for inclusion in Service Charge Accounts.
• Complete regular bank and treasury reconciliations and support effective cash management.
• Work with the Customer Team to reconcile void recharges and analyse performance against budget.
• Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and detailed cash flow reporting.
• Liaise with budget holders and other departments to resolve queries and provide financial insight.
• Assist with statutory accounts, year–end audit and rent ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate banking discrepancies and unidentified transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records, processes and reporting.
• Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc duties as required.
