Job summary

ICAEW is seeking a recently qualified Management Accountant for a high-growth construction business in London. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will deliver monthly management accounts, oversee CIS, VAT, WIP, and support budgeting and forecast reviews.

Ideal candidates are ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified with construction exposure, proficient with Xero, and able to challenge the status quo with commercial insight; the role offers ownership and opportunities to interact with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA qualified accounting professionals with construction exposure.
• Experience in management accounting, budgeting, and cost control is essential.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts across divisions, including P&L and balance sheet.
• Manage month-end processes, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Support WIP, CIS, VAT, and revenue recognition.
• Assist with annual budget creation and quarterly reforecasts with department heads.
• Maintain cash flow forecast and scenario analysis.
• Provide cost and department reports with clear financial insight to budget holders.
