Job summary

ICAEW in London is seeking a newly qualified Management Accountant to join our finance team, with hands-on COINS experience for project-based reporting.

You will produce monthly management accounts with commentary, support month-end journals and reconciliations, analyse project costs and profitability, and help with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning. You’ll work with operational teams and senior stakeholders to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Background in management accounting and COINS essential
• Construction/engineering/project-based sector experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Producing monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary.
• Supporting month-end reporting, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Working with operational teams to support project performance reporting.
• Analyzing project costs, revenues and profitability across contracts.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Using COINS for financial reporting and project accounting.
• Assisting with year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting.
• Providing financial insights to support decisions.
• Continuing improvements of finance processes and controls
