Rutherford Cross is excited to support a Glasgow-based SME seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a collaborative finance team. You will help prepare management accounts, maintain robust controls and provide insightful financial data for business decisions.

Key duties include month-end reporting, reconciliations, invoicing, credit control, supplier ledgers and cash flow monitoring, with study support and a 4-day working week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance, accounts or accounting support role.
• Good understanding of reconciliations, sales ledger and accounting processes.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Positive and self-motivated approach to work.

Responsabilités

• Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Raise and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Manage credit control activities and chase outstanding balances.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries and account discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and allocate cash receipts.
• Process supplier invoices and maintain purchase ledger records.
• Reconcile supplier statements and support payment runs.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
• Support audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Partner with operational teams to ensure financial data accuracy.
• Contribute to process improvement and finance system enhancements.
