Job summary

Marks Sattin Ltd in Wrexham is seeking a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. You will prepare monthly management accounts, perform variance analysis, and provide robust financial reporting to the Finance Manager and senior leadership.

The role requires ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification (or in progress), with strong Excel skills and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.

• Present results to Finance Manager and senior leadership.
• Coordinate budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
• Support audits and drive process improvements.

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Produce detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year performance.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow reporting.
• Present financial results and key trends to the Finance Manager and senior leadership team.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process.
• Produce rolling forecasts and assess risks and opportunities.
• Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Business partnering.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.

Our client is looking for a candidate who is studying towards or is fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA and has:

• Management accounts experience
• Experience of preparing budgets and forecasts
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
