Job summary

The Business Connection Group are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team at their UK headquarters in Wales. You will be responsible for monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering to influence performance and strategic decisions.

This role requires strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across finance processes.

Qualifications

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reports.
• Providing detailed financial analysis and commentary on performance.
• Producing variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Supporting annual budget and rolling forecast processes.
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Coaching and supporting junior members of the Finance team.

Skills and experience

Essential

• Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant role, with the skills to bring both technical expertise and strong business partnering skills.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

• Manufacturing industry experience.
• SAP or ERP system experience.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Knowledge of stock accounting and cost analysis.
