Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment - Epsom is recruiting an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established financial services organisation near Epsom. You will own month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and partner with stakeholders to drive financial performance.

This role offers hybrid working, a busy finance team of four, and the chance to influence cost management and internal controls while developing your career.

Qualifications

• Proven background in management accounting and month-end reporting.
• Experience with large asset bases and complex financial environments.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
• Excellent cost control and financial analysis skills.
• Business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Prepare and submit monthly General Ledger data and KPIs.
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
• Deliver detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Take ownership of cost centre reporting and overhead expenditure analysis.
• Work closely with budget holders to monitor and control costs, including project expenditure.
• Calculate and maintain key financial provisions.
• Ensure compliance with external reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and controls.
• Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a deputy to senior finance leadership when required.
• Provide guidance and coaching to a direct report.

Management Accountant

Location: Outskirts of Epsom, with hybrid working options available

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and highly successful financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance team of four, providing accurate management information, driving financial control, and supporting strategic decision making across the business.

Reporting into a senior finance leader, you'll take ownership of month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial performance and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs for senior stakeholders.

We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong management accounting experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven background in management accounting and month-end reporting.
• Experience working with large asset bases and complex financial environments.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
• Excellent cost control and financial analysis skills.
• Business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to interpret and present financial data to senior management.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
