Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Worksop is recruiting a Management Accountant to support multiple manufacturing sites within a leading UK food sector client. You will report to the Financial Controller and partner with site leadership to drive operational and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified by CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational finance.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Advanced Excel skills and SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Centre Managers, Engineering and QA to drive performance.
• Provide day-to-day financial control at Worksop site.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reporting, forecasts, KPIs, and financial reports.
• Control, analyse and communicate site overhead spend.
• Support stock control activities, yield analysis and factory reporting.
• Manage balance sheet controls, including accruals and prepayments.
• Monitor capital expenditure and partner with project engineers on investments.
• Prepare robust budgets and forecasts and share with site teams.
• Produce labour forecasts and identify risks/opportunities to performance.
• Review and challenge product costing for accuracy and commercial insight.
• Assist cost-reduction initiatives through analysis and challenge.
• Share best practices within the Supply Chain Finance team.

Job Role – Management Accountant

Our client is a leading figurehead in the UK food sector, with an unparalleled pedigree dating back to the early 18th century. They are currently seeking a Management Accountant to support multiple sites.

Job Role – Management Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Management Accountant shall work closely with site leadership teams, influence decision making, support cost-saving initiatives and provide financial insight to help manufacturing operations.

Duties – Management Accountant

• Business partnering Centre Managers, Engineering and QA teams to drive operational and financial performance.
• Providing day-to-day financial control across the Worksop manufacturing site.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reporting, forecasts, KPIs and Financial Performance Reports.
• Controlling, analysing and communicating site overhead spend.
• Supporting stock control activities, yield analysis and factory performance reporting.
• Managing balance sheet controls, including accruals and prepayments.
• Monitoring capital expenditure and partnering with project engineers on investment projects.
• Preparing robust budgets and forecasts and communicating these to site teams.
• Producing labour forecasts and identifying risks and opportunities to performance.
• Reviewing and challenging product costings, ensuring financial accuracy and commercial understanding.
• Supporting cost reduction initiatives through insightful analysis and proactive challenge.
• Playing an active role within the wider Supply Chain Finance team, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement.

Experience/Qualifications – Management Accountant

• CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or operational finance environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience of SAP
