Base pay range

• 42 days of annual leave including bank holidays
• Access to a pension scheme with employer contributions of c20%
• Hybrid working with c3 days based in the office.
• Salary of between £41,000 - £48,000

What you'll be doing…

• Are you the type who gets excited about variance analysis while your friends are talking about their weekend? Perfect. We need you.
• The gig: We're after a qualified accountant or very experienced accountant who hasn't quite finished their exams to be this organisation's financial interpreter. Someone who can translate numbers into actual business decisions in an engaging and inspiring way.
• It would be great if you understand the education sector's funding and policy frameworks, or if not, you might have worked in one of those more complex organisations where the right person to ask a question of isn't always obvious and so you might have to speak to a few people!

What you'll need to offer…

• Hold a CCAB qualification so that will be ACA or CIMA or CIPFA of ACCA we could consider someone who is QBE with the right experience too - you'll be constructively challenging very bright people, so having a finance qualification and / or significant experience will aid your success in doing so!
• Have a proven track record in strategic financial planning (i.e., you've successfully told senior people "no" the right way without getting their backs up)
• Possess advanced Excel skills (we're talking vlookups in your sleep)
• Translate financial complexities into English that normal humans understand
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
