Job summary

Chase & Holland Recruitment is recruiting a Management Accountant for Wakefield. You will deliver high-quality financial, statutory and management reporting to support the Financial Controller and drive board-level decisions.

This role sits in a forward-thinking, collaborative finance team with hybrid working. You will own the balance sheet, contribute to planning and reforecasting, and lead process improvements and automation while developing business partnering skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with management accounting experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with statutory reporting and board-level analyses.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Produce full monthly management accounts, insightful reporting and supporting analysis
• Own the balance sheet including fixed asset register and monthly reconciliations
• Partner with Senior Management and wider finance teams, providing analysis and reporting versus forecast
• Present clear, concise financial data to stakeholders at all levels
• Assist in preparing and submitting statutory accounts and group reporting
• Act as a key contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth year-end and audit process
• Support corporate tax submissions and other statutory returns
• Contribute to annual planning and reforecasting activities
• Drive improvements and automation across processes
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team to enhance capability
