Job summary

Tribepad in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to own day-to-day accounting and management reporting. You will maintain the general ledger, prepare monthly management accounts, and support VAT, year-end, and audits while working independently in a small finance team.

You will leverage automation/AI to streamline processes and improve reporting. The role offers hybrid working from our Sheffield location and a collaborative environment with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience as a Management Accountant in a UK business, including journals, reconciliations, VAT and year-end.
• Confident with accounting software and able to pick up new systems quickly (we use Xero).
• Analytical and curious — you want to understand what's driving the numbers, not just report them.
• Self-sufficient, dependable, and comfortable owning your workload.
• Genuinely interested in improving processes through automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger (journals, adjustments and recodes).
• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheets), reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support the annual audit and year-end processes.
• Produce regular KPI reporting and contribute to the preparation of board packs and management information.
• Provide financial information and reports to Heads of Department.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial controls.
• Spot opportunities to use automation/AI to reduce manual work and improve processes

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Management Accountant to own day-to-day accounting and management reporting for the business. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll maintain the general ledger, prepare monthly management accounts, and support VAT, year-end, audit and KPI reporting — working independently and getting into the detail.

You'll be interested in using technology, automation and AI to simplify processes and improve reporting.
