Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant for a hybrid finance role in the Romsey region. You will partner with operations to deliver monthly management accounts and forecasts, while supporting balance sheet reconciliations and capital expenditure control.

The role emphasizes financial analysis, governance support, and collaboration with Directors and the Finance Manager to drive long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with relevant experience.
• Experience in business partnering preferable.
• Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets.
• Broad system skills, Workday desirable but not essential.
• Excellent presentation, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Working with operational management to deliver accurate financial information
• Production and analysis of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations & checklists
• Preparation of forecasts, budgets and Long Term Plan in conjunction with the Operations Managers & Directors, the Finance Manager and Financial Controller
• Control and reporting of capital expenditure
• Financial analysis of operational data and KPIs
• Corporate governance financial model assistance
• Post investment financial review and analysis of long term financial performance
• Other ad hoc requirements of the business unit

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Hybrid with 3 days in our Romsey (near Southampton) site per week and occasional travel to other depots in the region

What we're looking for:

• A fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant with previous relevant experience
• Previous experience business partnering preferable
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
• Broad system skills preferably with working knowledge of Workday desirable but not essential
• Strong presentation, communication and organisational skills
