Job summary

Veolia is seeking a qualified ACCA or CIMA Accountant to lead financial reporting and control for the Hampshire region. You will partner with operations to deliver accurate information, prepare management accounts, and manage budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant with relevant experience.
• Experience in business partnering is preferable.
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheets.
• Broad system skills with Workday and SAP experience.
• Strong presentation, communication and organisational skills.
• Strategic planning and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in financial reporting and financial control for the Hampshire region.
• Collaborate with operational management to deliver accurate financial information.
• Produce monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and long-term plans with the GM and Financial Controller.
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation and liaise with group auditors.
• Control and report capital expenditure and KPI analyses.
• Conduct post-investment financial reviews and analyze long-term performance.
• Engage with clients on contract performance and adapt to changes in service.

What you'll be doing:

You will provide leadership in all aspects of financial reporting and financial control for our Hampshire region. To be a member of the Finance team working closely with the operational business.

• Working with operational management to deliver accurate financial information
• Production and analysis of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing the account certifications for direct reports to ensure that they can withstand audit scrutiny
• Preparation of forecasts, budgets and Long Term Plan in conjunction with the General Manager and Financial Controller
• Statutory accounts preparation and liaison with Group auditors
• Control and reporting of capital expenditure
• Financial analysis of operational data and KPI
• Post investment financial review and analysis of long term financial performance
• Working with clients on contract performance and adapting to any changes in service

What we're looking for:

• A fully qualified ACCA or CIMA Accountant with previous relevant experience
• Previous experience business partnering preferable
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
• Broad system skills preferably with working knowledge of Workday and SAP
• Strong presentation, communication and organisational skills
• Strategic planning and leadership skills.
