Job summary

Norse Group in Norwich is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Finance team. You will support the preparation and analysis of management accounts across defined divisions, delivering accurate information to support commercial decisions.

Work closely with Finance Business Partners to turn data into insights, maintain balance sheets, and ensure timely financial recording while applying VAT and corporation tax knowledge in a commercial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience producing management accounts and balance sheet schedules.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate records.
• Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of VAT and corporation tax in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

As part of Norse Group’s Support Services Division, our Finance team plays a key role in supporting the wider Group. You’ll work closely with our Finance Business Partners, providing accurate and meaningful financial information that helps shape decisions, improve performance and support the continued development of our operational services.

About the role

As Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the preparation, presentation and analysis of initial management accounts for defined divisions across the Group.

You’ll ensure financial information isaccurate, timely and up to date, using your analytical skills to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

Working closely with our Finance Business Partners, you’ll help turn financial data intoclear, commercial insight, supporting informed decision-making across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

About you

We’re looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoysworking with numbers, solving problems and using financial information to support better business decisions.

You’ll ideally have a strong background in a commercial finance environment, working as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.

You’ll also bring:

• A finance or accounting qualification, such asAAT, a relevant degree or ACCA, or be working towards one.
• Proven experience within a commercial finance role.
• Experience producing management accounts and balance sheet schedules.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and identify key insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of VAT and corporation tax within a commercial environment.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
