Job summary

ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions in Newport is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a growing finance team, offering genuine progression and hands‑on experience across management accounting.

You’ll support reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis, working with SAP and reporting tools to improve efficiency and insights for decision‑makers, and you’ll interact with operational teams to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified, or actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
• Experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Power BI and SAP experience are desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support weekly and monthly management accounts.
• Manage customer billing and self-billing processes, including key retail customers.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Drive process improvements and streamline finance operations.
• Utilise SAP and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making.

Are you an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're recruiting for an Management Accountant to join a growing Finance team, offering genuine career progression and the opportunity to develop into a Manager as you continue to develop.

You’ll support the site’s finance function with accurate reporting, analysis, and insight, while gaining hands‑on experience across all aspects of management accounting. Working closely with finance and operational teams, you’ll play an important role in supporting decision‑making, driving performance, and ensuring financial accuracy.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Prepare and support weekly and monthly management accounts
• Manage customer billing and self‑billing processes, particularly for key retail customers including Marks & Spencer
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Drive continuous improvement and help streamline existing finance processes
• Utilise SAP and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Support wider business decision‑making through meaningful financial analysis

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Qualified, part‑qualified, or actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, Accountant, or finance role
• Strong Excel skills are essential
• Experience using Power BI would be highly advantageous
• Experience with SAP is desirable
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively with both finance and operational stakeholders
