Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Finance team, at our Newcastle Office, where you will work alongside one of our Strategic Business Partners to drive positive performance in a key business unit. With a focus on both revenue and cost control, you will help to keep the accounts in order whilst assisting with accurate reporting and insight.

What will you be doing?

Are you passionate about numbers and eager to make an impact in a collaborative finance environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Management Accountant to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the financial performance of one of our core business units.

From supporting day-to-day and monthly accounting cycles to preparing insightful financial analysis for Trading Reviews, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. You’ll work closely with both finance and non-finance teams, translating key financial information into meaningful insights.

Your responsibilities will also include balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, sales invoicing reconciliation, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. Beyond the numbers, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our Finance Team’s development strategy and initiatives that make our workplace a truly great place to be.

What you’ll bring:

• Full or Part Qualified Accountant ACCA/CIMA
• Experience in a similar Management Accountant role
• Employ an analytical mindset with high attention to detail
• Network and present with excellent Communication skills
• A strong working knowledge of Excel is essential
• Knowledge of Oracle is desirable
• Work smart, with the capability to work quickly and efficiently
• Ability to work to timescales and under pressure
• Team effort approach, flexible attitude towards tasks and working
• You must be able to pass our screening and vetting standards, provide up to 5 years employment history and pass a DBS check
