Job summary

NACBA is seeking a proactive Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified Management Accountant for a permanent role in Milton Keynes. You will own month-end processes, deliver timely management accounts, and provide insightful financial analysis in collaboration with stakeholders.

Key duties include preparing P&Ls, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, and year-end activities. The role demands strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Part-Qualified CIMA or ACCA, or AAT Qualified, or newly qualified in a relevant accounting qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Experience in a management accounting environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of producing accurate and timely month-end management accounts and departmental P&Ls.
• Monitor KPIs, highlight trends, analyse variances and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure monthly full reconciliation.
• Prepare regular management reporting and financial analysis for stakeholders.
• Support budgets and forecasts with relevant financial insight and analysis.
• Assist year-end processes and audits and contribute to ad hoc financial projects.

They are seeking a proactive and hands-on Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified Management Accountant who can take ownership of the month-end process, provide meaningful financial analysis and work closely with stakeholders across the business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of producing accurate and timely month-end management accounts and departmental P&Ls.
• Monitor KPIs, highlighting trends, analysing variances and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and provide regular management reporting and financial analysis.
• Work closely with budget holders and key stakeholders to understand business performance and financial results.
• Support the production of annual budgets and forecasts, providing relevant financial analysis and insight.
• Provide insightful analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• Assist with year-end processes, audit requirements and other ad hoc financial projects as required.

Person Specification:

• Part-Qualified CIMA or ACCA, AAT Qualified, or newly qualified in a relevant accounting qualification.
• Previous experience within a management accounting environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
