Hologic, Inc. in Manchester is seeking a Management Accountant to join our EMEA Finance team. You will be responsible for financial management and reporting of two entities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of data.

Expect monthly management accounts, P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT support, and collaboration with auditors and business stakeholders. The role requires 2–5 years in management accounting and a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in management accounting or related finance role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Fluency in English is essential.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Management Accountant to join our EMEA Finance team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of two Hologic entities, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial data for these key markets.

What To Expect:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis, variance review, and commentary.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for assigned entities, ensuring compliance with Hologic accounting policies and relevant standards, including US GAAP.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, continually improving quality, accuracy, and supporting documentation.
• Identify and post accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and other month-end entries
• Prepare monthly commentary files and quarterly reporting packs.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify key trends, variances, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Support VAT submission processes, working with in-house VAT specialists where required.
• Perform bank reconciliations and support cash-related reporting activities.
• Maintain and enhance robust financial controls and processes for assigned entities.
• Support SOX compliance activities, including performing control activities, documenting processes, and supporting internal and external SOX audits.
• Work closely with local finance and operational teams to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and provide financial insight.
• Partner with Financial Accountants and external auditors in the preparation of statutory accounts and audit deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes, reporting, and controls.
• Assist with implementing new processes, procedures, and reporting improvements.

What We Expect:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• 2–5 years’ experience in management accounting, financial reporting, or a related finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and the ability to analyze and present large datasets.
• Experience with financial reporting systems; Oracle experience would be an advantage.
• Experience with banking platforms would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls is desirable.
• VAT submission experience is desirable, with training support available from in-house VAT specialists.
• Highly organised, diligent, and structured, with the ability to meet internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Proactive and results orientated, with the confidence to investigate discrepancies, propose solutions, and drive resolution.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with local teams, finance colleagues, auditors, and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is essential

Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 gross per year. The final offer will depend on experience, skills, and alignment with internal pay structures. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including pension and insurances.
