Job summary:

Brook Green Supply (BGS) is an independent B2B energy supplier committed to providing energy supply and Net-Zero solutions to industrial and commercial consumers.

The Management Accountant will take ownership of monthly reporting, assisting in year-end audits and support with project work. The Management Accountant will be accountable for all month-end balances and will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Essential functions of the job:

• Oversee and review preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Ensure all accounting journals are posted and reconciled.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and respond to audit queries.
• Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately.
• Gain full understanding of all procedures and systems.
• Develop strong understanding of financial instruments, revaluations, and settlements.

Skills required:

• Solid IT skills, including proficiency in sage50.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and inquisitive with proactive mindset.

Experience required:

• Experience preparing management accounts.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Experience reporting under IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
