Overview

Our client is a global Fintech looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to join the team on a 3 month contract. This role requires someone who can really dig into the numbers and help keep everything running smoothly month to month.

Responsibilities

• Posting journal entries into the general ledger accurately and on time.
• Preparing the monthly management accounts.
• Putting together financial presentations for Board meetings and month-end close reviews.
• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure everything balances and is clearly explained.
• Analysing and explaining movements in the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts compared to budgets and previous months, and writing commentary on the key changes.
• Preparing the EU entity VAT return for review before submission.
• Assisting with EU regulatory filings by preparing the necessary analysis and responding to queries.
• Supporting external auditors by responding promptly to their requests and providing any information they need.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers hands-on, and able to explain what’s behind the data.
• Organised, able to meet deadlines, and communicate well with different stakeholders.
• Experience with journal postings, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, management packs, and financial presentations (preferred).
