Job summary

Michael Page Finance is partnering with a growing professional services client to recruit a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will deliver full monthly management accounts and accompanying reporting, and take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and the fixed asset register.

You will partner with senior management to provide financial analysis, present information clearly to stakeholders, support statutory accounts and budgeting, and drive process

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with post-qualification experience.
• Experience preparing full monthly management accounts.
• Exposure to statutory accounting, tax and audit.
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder influencing abilities.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with ownership mentality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full monthly management accounts and supporting reporting.
• Own balance sheet management, including reconciliations and fixed assets.
• Business partner with senior management, providing financial analysis.
• Present financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Support statutory accounts, group reporting and tax submissions.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end processes.

Description

• Prepare full monthly management accounts and supporting reporting.
• Own balance sheet management, including reconciliations and the fixed asset register.
• Business partner with senior management, providing financial analysis and insight.
• Present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Support statutory accounts, group reporting and tax submissions.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors during the year-end process.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting.
• Support the implementation of new finance systems.
• Review and improve finance processes, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop members of the finance team.

Profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with relevant post-qualified experience.
• Strong experience preparing full monthly management accounts.
• Previous exposure to statutory accounting, tax and audit.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• The confidence to challenge information and identify opportunities for improvement.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
