Job description

Title: Management Accountant

Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, Monday Friday (Hybrid available approx. 1 day per week)

Location: Inverness

Salary: £40,000 - 42,000 approx (depending on experience/qualifications)

Details:

Our client is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their team based in Inverness. The successful candidate will be responsible for production of Management Accounts in line with deadlines. Duties include

Duties include:

• Production of Monthly Management Accounts and all related reports within agreed deadlines.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identifying and reporting/resolving variances.
• Support the training of staff including review of work.
• Maintain effective lines of communication are maintained.
• Provide commentary regarding Management Accounting issues.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
• Work closely in support of the Financial Controller, carrying out additional project accounting and reporting tasks.

Person Specification:

• Qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (qualified by experience also considered).
• Experience of management accounts preparation and reporting.
• Ability to identify and resolve variances and issues.
• Well organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload, working to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent IT skills including financial software systems.
