Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited in Grimsby is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with one day per week working from home.

You will be responsible for delivering monthly management accounts, supporting budget holders, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will also support the external audit process and help

• Experience in a management accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong management accounting and financial control experience.
• Confident analysing financial data and explaining variances to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently using your own initiative.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
• Analyse income and expenditure, identifying and explaining financial variances.
• Support budget holders with financial information, advice and resolving queries.
• Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist with year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide financial insight and support to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Management Accountant

A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based in Grimsby, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement with one day per week working from home. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of their workload and providing accurate financial insight to support decision-making. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in delivering monthly management accounts, supporting budget holders, and contributing to the organisation's budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes. You will also support the external audit process and help ensure financial information is accurate, timely and compliant.

What you will be doing

Salary: £55,000 per annum
