Job summary

A well-established organisation in Grimsby is recruiting a Management Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. The role offers hybrid work with one day per week from home, based in Grimsby.

You will manage monthly management accounts, support budget holders and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes, ensuring timely, accurate financial information for decision-making and external audit support.

Qualifications

• Proven management accounting experience required.
• Ability to analyse variances and explain to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
• Analyse income and expenditure, identifying and explaining variances.
• Support budget holders with financial information, advice and resolving queries.
• Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist with year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide financial insight and support to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced

Management Accountant to join its finance team on a

permanent, full-time basis. Based in

Grimsby, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement with

one day per week working from home.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands‑on finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of their workload and providing accurate financial insight to support decision-making.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in delivering monthly management accounts, supporting budget holders, and contributing to the organisation's budgeting, forecasting and year‑end processes. You will also support the external audit process and help ensure financial information is accurate, timely and compliant.

What you will be doing

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in a

Management Accountant or similar finance role

• Strong management accounting and financial control experience.
• Confident analysing financial data and explaining variances to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently using your own initiative.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.

Qualifications

ACCA, CIMA or equivalent - part‑qualified, qualified or qualified by experience.
