Chase & Holland are partnering with a not-for-profit in Lincolnshire to recruit a Management Accountant for Grimsby. The role offers flexible hybrid working, study support and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will produce monthly management accounts, support budgeting, and act as Finance Business Partner to managers. Ideal candidates are professionally qualified or on the way there, with strong budgeting, forecasting and reporting capabilities, plus excellent Excel and financial systems

Qualifications

• A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or working towards qualification.
• Previous experience in management accounting or finance business partnering.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.
• Excellent analytical skills with a proactive continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards and KPI reporting for decisions.
• Manage month-end activities including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with analysis and guidance.

Management Accountant key responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary
• Preparing financial reports, dashboards and KPI reporting to support operational and strategic decisions
• Managing month‑end accounting activities including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis and guidance to managers
• Acting as the Finance Business Partner, helping budget holders understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Delivering financial guidance and training to non‑financial managers
• Preparing financial information for funding applications, grant reporting and reserves management
• Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practice
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance systems, controls and reporting processes

You'll ideally have:

• A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or be working towards qualification
• Previous experience within a management accounting or finance business partnering role
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearlyA proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
• Strong Excel and financial systems experience
