Job summary

Arthur Financial is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team in a hybrid role with a minimum of three days in the office. This broad accounting position is open to newly or recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountants, with practice training a plus.

You will report to the Financial Controller and work within a 12-person corporate finance team supporting accounting and reporting across group entities during an upcoming systems implementation.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA; newly qualified candidates are welcome.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and confidence with reconciliations and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly management accounts and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
• Prepare balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Support annual financial statements, audit requirements and VAT/tax submissions.
• Produce financial analysis and contribute to board reporting.
• Support payroll reconciliations, group recharges and cash-related processes.
• Improve financial controls, processes and data quality.
• Support finance change activities alongside the systems implementation.

Arthur Financial is exclusively supporting an insurance business with the appointment of a Management Accountant to its Corporate Finance team.

This is a broad accounting opportunity, suited to a newly or recently qualified accountant looking to build their industry experience. Previous insurance experience is not required, and practice training would be an advantage.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll join a corporate finance team of 12, supporting accounting and reporting across group entities while the business implements a new accounting system.
