Job summary

Executive Talent Solutions is helping a growing medical services group recruit a Management Accountant for its North London office. The role sits within a small team and reports to the CFO, providing both reporting and analysis with clear ownership over monthly management accounts.

You will lead a team of two accounts assistants, own the accounts packs, and collaborate with senior leadership on financial insight and strategy. It is a full-time permanent role based in North London.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing management accounts and monthly packs.
• Strong Excel skills and systems literacy.
• Proven track record leading a small accounts team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments.
• Producing weekly financial reports for the CEO.
• Performing variance analysis and commenting on financials.
• Assisting senior leadership with financial summaries for decisions.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Tracking CapEx and assisting with month-end/year-end close.

Our client is a growing medical services group, they offer a wide range of services that is continually developing. As part of their growth they seek an experienced management accountant to join the team to provide both reporting and analysis, the role manages a small team who provide key transactional support.

It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is looking to develop their career and experience. You will need a strong technical accounting background, and a curious nature to dive in to the numbers. This is a full time permanent role, based at the offices in North London.

The Management Accountant will have autonomy over the business and it's reporting requirements whilst working closely with the CFO.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments.
• Production of weekly financial reports for the CEO
• Performing variance analysis and contributing to the commentary around financials.
• Assist in preparing financial summaries to support decision making by senior leadership.
• Maintain the fixed asset register accurately.
• Preparing monthly depreciation schedules and ensure accurate reporting.
• Track and report on CapEx projects.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in regularly enhancing financial systems and various processes.
• Manage a team of two accounts assistants.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support across the wider business.

Successful candidates will have relevant management accounts experience, confident in producing full management account packs. Candidates can be CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. The role requires strong Excel skills, and a strong systems literacy. You will need to lead and manage your team and liaise upwards with the CFO.
