Job summary

Executive Talent Solutions partners with a growing medical services group to recruit an experienced management accountant for a North London role. You will manage a small team and own monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and reporting to the CFO.

The role offers autonomy over reporting, with responsibilities spanning CapEx tracking, depreciation, fixed asset registers, and month-end close. Candidates should be CIMA/ACCA qualified or by experience, with excellent Excel and systems

Qualifications

• Experience producing full management accounts and packs.
• CIMA or ACCA qualification or qualified by experience.
• Strong Excel and systems literacy.
• Ability to lead a small accounts team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments.
• Produce weekly financial reports for the CEO.
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on financials.
• Prepare financial summaries to support leadership decisions.
• Maintain the fixed asset register accurately.
• Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and report accurately.
• Track and report on CapEx projects.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Help enhance financial systems and processes.
• Manage two accounts assistants.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support across the business.

Our client is a growing medical services group, they offer a wide range of services that is continually developing. As part of their growth they seek an experienced management accountant to join the team to provide both reporting and analysis, the role manages a small team who provide key transactional support.

It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is looking to develop their career and experience. You will need a strong technical accounting background, and a curious nature to dive in to the numbers. This is a full time permanent role, based at the offices in North London.

The Management Accountant will have autonomy over the business and it's reporting requirements whilst working closely with the CFO.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments.
• Production of weekly financial reports for the CEO
• Performing variance analysis and contributing to the commentary around financials.
• Assist in preparing financial summaries to support decision making by senior leadership.
• Maintain the fixed asset register accurately.
• Preparing monthly depreciation schedules and ensure accurate reporting.
• Track and report on CapEx projects.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in regularly enhancing financial systems and various processes.
• Manage a team of two accounts assistants.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support across the wider business.

Successful candidates will have relevant management accounts experience, confident in producing full management account packs. Candidates can be CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. The role requires strong Excel skills, and a strong systems literacy. You will need to lead and manage your team and liaise upwards with the CFO.
