Job summary

Oyster is seeking a Management Accountant to join its London-based finance team. You will work closely with the Senior Financial Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting, strengthen controls, and provide insight for business decisions across an expanding PBSA portfolio.

Experience with reviewing and challenging outsourced accounting providers is advantageous. The role sits in a growing, well-funded PBSA operator with opportunities to advance within a high-performing finance function.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified or Full ACA/ACCA/CIMA desirable for the role.
• Candidates with experience alongside outsourced accounting providers are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Review accounting work and reporting delivered by outsourced finance providers.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting.
• Support the annual audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
• Drive improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting accuracy.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Support strategic projects and business growth initiatives.

Education

Part Qualified or Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

Strong financial accounting and reporting experience

Analytical skills and attention to detail

Stakeholder management and communications

Proactive, commercially minded and comfortable operating in a growing environment
