Our client, an established, growing, and fast-paced business, is seeking to appoint a driven Management Accountant to their busy finance team of 10 people, based full-time in their Gillingham office.

The business started in and, as of now, has been a private equity-backed company with more acquisitions planned.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare monthly management accounts to meet group deadlines.
  2. Complete variance analysis and provide commentary versus budget for overheads.
  3. Assist the FC with commentary to support the financial results.
  4. Prepare quarterly VAT returns for Senseco & FSHL.
  5. Support the external audit process, fulfilling auditor queries.
  6. Identify areas for development within financial reporting across the business.
  7. Support and contribute to departmental improvements.
  8. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  9. Maintain the chart of accounts, including ensuring a consistent approach to new nominal codes.
  10. Provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to support business needs.
  11. Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Skill Requirements:
  • Qualified or newly qualified accountant.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Sage accounting software.
  • Background in multi-site or service industries.
  • Ability to work with high volumes of data.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
