Michael Page is partnering with a growing energy sector organisation in Cwmbran to recruit a Part Qualified Management Accountant. The role focuses on management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, with strong business partnering exposure.

Hybrid working is offered and study support is provided to progress towards ACCA or CIMA. You will report to the Finance Manager, deliver timely financial information, and contribute to commercial decision-making while developing within a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Proficient Excel skills with ability to manipulate data and build models.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Post accruals, prepayments and journals to the general ledger.
• Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insightful commentary.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Produce KPI reports and financial analysis for management.
• Partner with operational teams to drive business decisions.
• Support year-end audit processes and ensure compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance controls.
• Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.

The Role

Reporting to a supportive Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insight to help drive business performance.

This position offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to develop within a dynamic and fast-growing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals

Profile

About You

• AAT qualified and currently studying ACCA or CIMA, or already part-qualified
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business
• Motivated to progress within a commercial finance environment
