Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is partnering with an energy sector organisation in Cwmbran to recruit a Part Qualified Management Accountant. You will support management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering while studying ACCA or CIMA with full study support.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will prepare monthly management accounts, perform variance analysis, assist with year-end audits and contribute to commercial decision-making in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• AAT qualified and studying ACCA or CIMA, or already part-qualified.
• Experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant role.
• Strong Excel skills with confidence in financial data.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent time management and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Post accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Produce KPI reports and financial analysis.
• Partner with operational stakeholders.
• Support year-end audit processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Assist ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.

The Role

Reporting to a supportive Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insight to help drive business performance.

This position offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to develop within a dynamic and fast-growing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Variance analysis and commentary
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Producing KPI reports and financial analysis
• Business partnering with operational stakeholders
• Supporting year-end audit processes
• Identifying and implementing process improvements

Profile

About You

• AAT qualified and currently studying ACCA or CIMA, or already part-qualified
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business
• Motivated to progress within a commercial finance environment
