A highly regarded professional services firm is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This key role will involve supporting strategic and operational initiatives, preparing budgets, managing accounts, and contributing to financial stability within a collaborative and inclusive culture. We are partnering with a highly regarded professional services firm to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team.

The firm's Business Support teams are integral to ensuring legal professionals can focus on delivering exceptional client service. Within this structure, the Finance team plays a vital role in maintaining financial stability, driving efficiencies, and supporting the wider business through insight and control.
What you'll do
• Support the Head of Finance, including deputising as required
• Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts
• Produce monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments
• Develop and maintain internal monitoring reports for senior management
• Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process
• Review ledger postings and ensure accurate variance analysis against budget
• Interrogate data and develop management reporting suites to support decision-making
• Submit VAT returns and maintain supporting documentation
• Support system enhancements and changes to reporting/accounting platforms
What you'll need
• Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in legal or professional services is desirable
• Commercially aware with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Confident working with finance systems; experience with 3E or iManage is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage varied workloads with accuracy
• Hands-on knowledge of legal finance operations, including billing, accounts payable, credit control, and client accounts
