Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with a fast-growing, acquisitive group to appoint a Management Accountant in Cirencester. You will own specific business areas, bridging Finance and Operations, and report to senior leadership.

You will prepare management accounts, lead month-end, analyse variances, support budgets and build MI/BI reporting for executives, with clear opportunities to shape the business decisions.

Qualifications

• Solid Excel skills and data analysis experience.
• Part or full professional accounting qualification desired.
• Strong communication with stakeholder groups at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and own the General Ledger integrity.
• Lead month-end processes, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and journaling.
• Analyse performance against budget/forecast and explain variances to managers.
• Support audit, budgeting, forecasting and group finance projects.
• Build MI/BI reporting for senior leadership.

As Management Accountant, you'll join a large team, taking ownership of specific business areas and becoming the go-to link between Finance and Operations. You'll:

• Prepare management accounts and own the integrity of the General Ledger
• Lead month-end processing, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journals
• Analyse performance against budget/forecast and explain variances directly to managers
• Support audit, budgeting, forecasting, and group-wide finance projects
• Build MI/BI reporting for senior leadership

You'll need solid Excel skills, natural curiosity, and the confidence to challenge and explain numbers to people at every level from Operations teams to the Boardroom.
