Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for a hands-on Management Accountant on a six‑month fixed-term contract. You will own monthly management accounts across multiple entities and support consolidation, with timely reporting and clear commentary for business decisions.

The role requires ACCA/ACA/CIMA (or qualified by experience), strong technical accounting knowledge, deadline-driven discipline, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

Salary: £38,000 - £46,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who is confident in producing accurate and timely management accounts across multiple entities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance function, helping to ensure reporting deadlines are met and financial information is delivered to a consistently high standard.

The organisation is open‑minded regarding background and experience level and is primarily seeking someone who can quickly take ownership of the management accounts process and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts for multiple entities in line with reporting deadlines.
• Assisting with consolidated reporting and group management accounts.
• Producing financial reports, analysis and commentary to support business decision‑making.
• Investigating variances and providing clear explanations of financial performance.

About You

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification (or be qualified by experience).

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work efficiently in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Experience of working within a multi‑company environment would be advantageous.

Management or team leadership experience is not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced Management Accountants who are confident managing the reporting process and working independently.
