Management Accountant
Location: Hadleigh
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team at our head office in Hadleigh. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified finance professional with strong management accounting experience to play a key role in supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and business performance across the organisation.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you will be responsible for producing accurate financial information, analysing costs and profitability, and helping to ensure effective financial control throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and assist with financial reporting requirements.
- Support the Finance Director with the day-to-day running of the finance function.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including weekly payment runs in both GBP and foreign currencies.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profit and loss reporting.
- Analyse property-related and overhead costs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.
- Support annual audit activities and liaise with external auditors and tax advisers.
- Oversee the renewal and management of maintenance and utility contracts.
- Provide occasional support to the payroll function when required.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
- AAT qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years' experience in a management accounting role.
- Previous experience preparing management accounts and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Payroll experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
- Experience identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives and financial controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
