Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with an organisation based in Bangor to recruit a Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. The role reports to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

The package includes a base salary of £35k-£45k, an annual bonus, flexibility on start and finish times, and 31 days holiday, with extensive benefits as the organisation grows in the environmental and property protection sector.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accounts Technician qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proactive team player with strong IT skills.
• Experience with management accounting and financial reporting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Produce monthly P&L, balance sheets and related analyses.
• Prepare and post journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll journal reconciliations and other duties as required.

The company works with a range of clients, providing practical solutions to help assess and manage risk, protect properties and minimise potential damage. As they are going through a period of growth, they are keen to add an ambitious, highly motivated management accountant.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Produce monthly profit and loss reports, balance sheets and supporting schedules
• Prepare and post journals
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial analysis
• Prepare and post payroll journal reconciliations
• Other duties as outlined in the full job description.

The successful Management Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified Accounts Technician, OR, Part Qualified /Qualified CIMA/ACCA OR Qualified by Experience
