Job summary

Transaction Recruitment in Alcester is seeking a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing services business. You will support monthly management accounts across multiple entities, manage the full accounting cycle and contribute to commercial decision-making.

The role offers full training and study support towards ACCA/CIMA, a friendly team culture and flexible working hours after probation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar management accounts role is essential.
• Actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification (part qualified), or QBE
• Experience dealing with multi-entity accounts is desirable
• Strong Excel skills with confidence manipulating and analysing data
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts across several group entities
• Managing the full accounting cycle, including journals, accruals, prepayments, inventory and variance analysis
• Producing profit and loss analysis to support wider business performance reviews
• Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Completing intercompany reconciliations across the group
• Producing sales reporting to support commercial decision-making
• Contributing to costing exercises across the business
• Assisting with quarterly and annual audit processes
• Getting involved in projects aimed at improving efficiency and streamlining processes
• Providing support to the wider finance team as required

Main Duties

As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts across several group entities
• Managing the full accounting cycle, including journals, accruals, prepayments, inventory and variance analysis
