Job summary

Active Assistance in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking male Support Workers to help a 13-year-old boy with autism and ADHD. You will work in the family home and in the community, providing engaging activities and building trusted relationships. A valid UK driving licence is essential to drive the client's vehicle.

Shifts include mornings and evenings on weekdays, Sundays, with long shifts during school holidays. Part-time or full-time roles available under a flexible zero-hours contract, with training

• Outgoing and engaging personality; able to build quick bonds with the client.

Responsibilities

• Support a 13-year-old boy with autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour in his family home and out in the community.
• Work alongside another Support Worker to provide consistent care and activities.
• Follow rotas, participate in activities, and ensure safety in all interactions.

We also require full UK drivers licence to drive the clients vehicle.Would you love a rewarding role, supporting our 13 year old client in his family home and out in the community?Come and join Active Assistance.What you'll be doing:We are expanding our client base and have a new client in Stoke on Trent.This role is to support a 13 year old boy who has autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour in his family home and taking him out in the community, working alongside another Support Worker at all times.We require candidates to hold a full UK drivers licence to be able to drive the clients vehicle.Meet our client:I am a 13 year old boy who just loves to be outside and running around. I enjoy being active and going to the park, the trampoline park, swimming and soft play. I am cheeky and like my support workers to sit and play with me and engage in activities. I need someone who is outgoing and will enjoy running around with me. I do take some time to get to know people but once I am familiar with you, I enjoy having that close bond and feeling safe.Shifts:Weekdays: mornings (8am-10am) and evenings (2pm-10pm)Sundays 8am-10pmDuring non term time the weekday shifts change to long shifts (8am-10pm / 8am-6pm)Part time or Full time availableIn this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance.
