Job summary

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is recruiting for a Make Ready Shift Supervisor in Harlow. The role involves supervising day-to-day Make Ready operations, ensuring ambulances are prepared for duty, and supporting staff development and discipline.

You will arrange rotas, manage timesheets and annual leave, and coordinate with internal/external contacts to maintain vehicle availability. The successful candidate will have substantial supervisory experience, be flexible to work shifts

Qualifications

• Substantial supervisory experience across all aspects of people management.
• Ability to supervise Make Ready operations and staff.
• Willing to work shifts including nights and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence with C1 category.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day Make Ready operations and performance.
• Assist Group Leads with staff training, development and discipline.
• Undertake appraisals, timesheets, sickness interviews and annual leave requests.
• Ensure teams prepare ambulances to the required standard for operational duty.
• Arrange rotas to maintain staffing levels and liaise with internal/external contacts.
• Maintain accurate records of stock and equipment assets assigned to each vehicle.
• Move ambulances and vehicles as required and respond to changing operational needs.
