Job summary

London Gatwick is hiring a Planning Manager to lead major projects within a multi-year programme. You will develop, manage and deliver robust planning and assurance processes, coordinating with the Programme Manager to meet aggressive delivery targets for high-value investments.

You will manage scheduling across the full lifecycle, mentor planning teams, and drive improvements with a focus on safety and value. Hybrid work arrangement applies, three days in the office, two remote.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience planning infrastructure projects on multi-year programmes (£100m+).
• Proven ability to lead small teams.
• Strong experience with Primavera P6 and related commercial acumen.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schedules for the full project journey, including interfaces.
• Lead programme schedule reporting and develop dashboard metrics.
• Oversee planning teams across multiple projects.
• Support cost forecasting and alignment with the cost plan.
• Drive schedule improvements with supply chain.
• Assist risk/opportunity registers and trend analysis.
• Develop planning standards and mentor team members.
• Uphold health, safety and environmental standards.
