As a Major Loss Claims Adjuster, you will handle marine claims of varying complexity, focusing on Major loss files. Responsibilities include initial notification, policy & legal liability assessment, quantum analysis, and timely resolution, while mitigating indemnity and expense exposure. You will communicate developments and outcomes to key stakeholders and maintain high customer service standards, adhering to claims handling best practices and compliance requirements.

As a Senior Claims professional, you will be recognized for your deep technical expertise. You will balance stakeholder needs, make sound decisions based on data and experience, and take ownership of key outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain best practice procedures for Marine claims, aligned with global standards.
• Handle Marine claims within your authority limits.
• Provide claims trend analysis feedback to the team and stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with underwriters, clients, and brokers.
• Participate in claims reviews and travel as required.
• Support senior Major Loss Adjusters with larger, complex claims.
• Guide and coach less experienced team members.
• Assist in claims performance and reporting tasks.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and operational quality assurance.
• Support team management and oversight activities.
• Deliver training and presentations internally and externally.

What we are looking for

• Experience in handling Marine claims, especially Cargo, Fine Art, and Specie is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Marine policy language for accurate interpretation.
• Experience managing legal professionals, surveyors, and legal expenses.
• Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder presentations.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation procedures specific to Marine.
• Teamwork ability and familiarity with IT and Microsoft applications.
• Proactive in process improvement and transformation projects.
