Position Title: Maintenance Worker I

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day functions related to facilities (Maintenance/Engineering, Environmental Services), as defined by the Maintenance Supervisor, for the facilities.

HOURS

8 hours per day / 5 days per week

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES

1. Evaluates maintenance and safety issues and priorities within the programs and services throughout TTC locations.
2. Provides implementation of repair and maintenance work as defined by the Maintenance Supervisor.
3. Assists with the coordination of security, housekeeping, maintenance, facilities support services, and outside contractors towards the overall goal of improving the physical plant.
4. Assists with the management of supplies and requests for needed materials, and communicates this to the Maintenance Supervisor.
5. Attends meetings as required, including staff meetings, in-service education, and training sessions.
6. Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
7. Conducts self in a professional manner in areas of dress, attitude, and behavior.
8. Exhibits full knowledge and support of the philosophy and objectives of the Agency.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director, and/or Administration.

EDUCATION

Minimum one (1) year experience in a facilities role. Knowledge of JCAHO preparation is helpful.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

None required.
