Job summary

Lake District Hotels Ltd seeks a Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Patterdale Hotel, Ullswater. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week across three days, with responsibilities across the hotel and staff accommodation to keep facilities in top condition.

You'll carry out repairs, preventative maintenance and small projects, working closely with the management team to minimise disruption to guests while ensuring high standards of safety and service throughout the property.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building or hotel maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical work, decorating and repairs.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and complete maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Proactive maintenance approach to identify potential issues.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Flexible, reliable and able to work independently.
• Friendly approach when dealing with guests and colleagues.

Maintenance Technician - Part Time

Patterdale Hotel, Ullswater

The Role

We are looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Patterdale Hotel, situated in the beautiful Ullswater Valley.

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week over 3 days.

You will be responsible for carrying out general repairs, preventative maintenance and small projects throughout the hotel and staff accommodation, helping to ensure our property is maintained to a high standard.

Working closely with the hotel management team and other departments, you will ensure maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently, with minimum disruption to our guests.

What We Are Looking For In You:

• Previous experience in general building or hotel maintenance
• Good practical knowledge of plumbing, basic electrics, decorating and general repairs
• The ability to plan, prioritise and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and identifying potential issues
• A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work independently
• A friendly and helpful approach when dealing with guests and colleagues
• Flexibility and a willingness to support the wider hotel team when required
